Simple Knots for Great Hemp bracelet Pattern
Hemp gained popularity in recent years amongst the people across the world. Hemp has become versatile today and is available in variety of colors. It is no more restricted to the tan color of the past. Initially, learn the basic knots and make your own jewelry. Half knot and square knot are the two basic knots to be learnt by the beginners. Measure and cut the required hemp twine according to your desired jewelry such as bracelets, necklace, ring and the like. To get hemp bracelet pattern, first of all learn the half knot.
STEP 1
Half knot
Take four hemp twine, keep two twines in the center and the other two twines in the corner. The corner twine’s length should be more than the center ones. Take the right most cord, fold on the top of the two center cords and keep it under the left-side cord. Then take the left corner cord and keep it under the center cord. Bring it above the right-side cord. After completing this simple procedure, tighten the knot gently by pulling the cords. This is your first half-knot. While tightening the knots, remember to give the same amount of pressure to give an even look. This will avoid giving an ugly look on your jewel piece.
STEP 2
Square Knot
Take two hemp twines in the middle and another two in the corners. After finishing the half-knot, take the right side twine hold it under the ones at the center and over the left twine. Then take the left-side twine and hold it above the center twines and bring it under the right side twine.
Addition of Beads Brings Variety of Hemp Bracelet Pattern
With the addition of beads you can bring variation in patterns in your hemp bracelets. Use different color twines and contrast beads. The center two cords are used to thread the beads. Use the beads after every three or five knots. Use the same color beads or different colored beads to decorate your bracelets. Hemp bracelets pattern depends on how many beads you are going to use, whether it is small or big, one or many in number or the combination of one big and many small beads. You can also use beads or charm or button or ring to beautify your bracelets.
