Suddenly I got an idea to revive the traditional practice of making Christmas craft during the Christmas holidays. I took the help of my daughter to find out the taste of teens. At last we both decided to make friendship bracelets to gift our friends, who are going to visit us on Christmas day. Some of them welcomed the idea and wanted to learn how to make the friendship bracelets from me. In order to give a happy and warm friendship memory, we had collected various crafts and ideas to teach them.
When I was ten years old, I moved to a new area and joined in a new school. During the time of Christmas, one of my friends gifted me a beautiful friendship bracelet. That lovely handmade present broke the ice and we giggled and shared secrets together that even now our friendship is continuing. I was taught a few tactics on how to make friendship bracelets from my friend then, that I wanted to pass it to my daughter’s friends.
When I was collecting the required yarn of several colors, charms and buttons for making the bracelets, the thought about the girly laughter and chatter my house was going to be filled with made me happy. It is really great to work for a project together.

How to make friendship bracelets
Take any two different color embroidery floss of your choice. Cut 27 inches strands of each color. Have six strands with you.
Hold all the strands together and put a knot. In order to secure the tip, clip it in the clipping board. Separate the strands according to the color in one side. Make a loop by picking up three same color strands on the left to wrap over and under the right. Make a single knot tightly. Next make a loop by taking three same color strands of the right to wrap over and under the left. Tie the knot. Repeat making knots in this way till you get the desired length. Hold the tip of the strands together and make one final knot. Trim the ends if required.
While selecting colors for the friendship bracelets, remember the color, which has special significance to you and your friend. Favorite color combination of your friend, eyes of your friend’s, lucky color of your friend and lucky birthstone color would make great choices. Send pink and red combination for Valentine’s Day, red and green for Kwanzaa and black and orange for Halloween. Addition of beads in the friendship bracelets increases the beauty of it. Especially little girls love to wear it.
